Thanks to Christian Louboutin

Would you buy a trash bag worth $895? What if it’s Christian Louboutin? I can always appreciate designers trying to incorporate a little “green” element on their pieces but for that price tag, this might be a little too much.

The Christian Louboutin Lou Trash Bag looks like glorified, wearable trash. Designer Louboutin always had a unique take on fashion and seems to be very evident in this

There are some elements of lush styling – leopard haircalf strap, gold chain and leather edges but unfortunately, none of them helped the bag. What do you think, would you shell out big bucks for wearable designer trash?

Have you ever walked down a dark alleyway in the middle of the night and wished you had listened to your mom when she told you to carry a can of pepper spray in your bag

Thanks to Christian Louboutin, there is now a more fashionable alternative to carrying self-defense devices. Introducing the Artemis Python Shoulder Bag, priced at roughly $2,000.?It works both as an edgy fashion accessory and a scary prop to wade off criminals and possibly everyone else.

This super edgy bag is aptly named after an ancient Greek God who symbolizes hunting and the wilderness. Hence, the massive spikes and the luscious python leather (which is beautiful, by the way). While it might not be for everyone, this is perfect for those edgy, Gaga-inspired fashionistas who want to bring out the huntress in them.

Would you carry this bag?

Fashion is all about taking risks and having fun. Something too conventional and expected will never be given the kind of appreciation and notice a risky fashion item will always have.

And speaking of risky, here we have a perfectly good Proenza Schouler Louis Vuitton Bracelets PS1 Satchel stamped with a “look at me” kind of floral print. The dark brown leather is obviously contrasting with the print, and it is a bit unlikely of the brand to bring in florals to a PS1, which has got me raising an eyebrow.

I’m a bit perplexed with this one. As much as I love PS, this might be a tad too much for me. What are your thoughts? Do you love it or think it’s a mockery?

There are only a couple of celebrity fashion lines that are really worthy of the limelight and hats off to Victoria Beckham for being one of them. I know she was stereotyped as the quintessential skinny bitch who just had to have all the hottest designer purses but don’t hate on her too much. She has worked real hard to be able to transform into a REAL designer.

Victoria Beckham’s line was recently shown in New York Fashion Week. This new range of clothing and accessories will be at a slightly lower price range than her last collection.

The handbags were more than notable. And although most of it was of limited and neutral hues, there were also some pop of bright citrus colors here and there. Subtle colorblocking was also applied to some of the bags. In total, I loved the whole collection BUT it left me thinking too. Victoria Beckham wants to torture me by blatantly promoting a weird way to tote around a purse. Hmmm.. Should I start carrying my bags like this??

And of course, I would have to squeeze the clutches to add some drama too…

A couple of months ago, Coach was looking for a new face for their brand. Soon after, it was confirmed that their new global brand ambassador would be A-list Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow. A great choice, I must say.

The brand is celebrating their 70th anniversary, and creative director Reed Krakoff deemed Gwyneth to be “a natural choice” for the ad campaign. This fresh-faced blonde beauty apparently reflects the urban American look the brand wanted to depict for their foreign consumers.

Peter Lindbergh choose a rooftop in Manhattan for the shoot. The ad campaign will be used in international magazines this fall, mostly for the Asian and European market.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s high-end fashion line The Row was recently debuted at Barneys New York. The twins looked beautiful and more tan than usual. Both were also pretty proud of their new handbag collection.

The nine-piece collection was more than promising. This was genius. As long as you can afford the super expensive bags, you are well on your way to becoming the next trendsetter in your social circle. The price range of these luxe purses start at around $2,500 and racks up to a whopping $39,000.

The bags epitomize ultimate luxury, showcasing a timeless, structured look in each piece. After all the monogramming and heavy logo details in most designer bags, this collection was truly a breath of fresh air. Of course, these two fashion moguls had to make sure we bagaholics get our dose of exotics. There are renditions with some croc, lizard, alligator and ostrich skins. With a modern-day sensibility, a vintage air and a super expensive price tag, this collection has quickly ranked top one in my bucket list.

“That classic, minimalist person can wear The Row head-to-toe but if you also want to buy the tote bag to wear with more ornate things, it works either way.Understated, elegant and beautifully designed—it doesn’t surprise me at all that the bags look like they do.” -Amanda Brooks, Barneys Fashion Director
